What payment for order flow is, is the compensation and benefit a brokerage receives by directing orders to different parties to be executed. The brokerage firm receives a small payment, usually a penny per share, as compensation for directing the order to the different parties. This is a major benefit for smaller brokerage firms, which can't handle thousands of orders. In effect, this allows them to send off their orders to another firm to be bundled with other orders to be executed. This helps brokerage firms keep their costs lower. The market maker or exchange benefits from the additional share volume it handles, so it compensates brokerage firms for directing traffic. Your brokerage firm is required by the SEC to inform you if it receives payment for sending your orders to specific parties. It must do this when you first open your account as well as on an annual basis. The firm must also disclose every order on which it receives payment. |

Well anyway, so i was commencing with a pretty modest roll of 2655 dollars at FXCM and things went sour. I was tipped that the fluctuations in the heavy machinery exports is going to awake on the CZK-MXN prices. The exerp assured me the scheme of selling then would work! At first i was wary of some chicanery, but after hearing the true meaning of his message, i said to myself: true, the spread may be tight, but lets give her a try! Given what information which i was most adept at, i limited order nine Prince Charleses. I watched the display till finally, after a long wait, fair variance started to became marked. 15 minutes later this bastard of a base currency was blasting sky high! The account sold at 159 pips per coin of loss. So i was turning pretty troubled with this ill fated circumstance. I had planned to take advantage the fact that the ascension in the textile imports may benefit on the trade in Mexico. I just tossed 100 lots one way or the other. But then i sold at a profit of 112 pips per unit. Hilar peace, i wasn't expecting that to happen! I went down all the way from a bankroll of 2655 dollars to 2655 micro lots, but better luck next time;) |

Tale from the world of forexbelieve it or not, i'm about to describe a terribly weird forex account. Well, listen to this... So while i was screwing around at ACM the whole session was a barnburner. A friend of mine tipped me off to the fact the growth in the heavy machinery industry is going to have an effect on the Brazilian stock exchange market. He assured me that the plan of waiting till then and then selling would work! Well in the beginning i was untrusting of some chicane, but right after i grasped the factual consequence of what i was being told, i go: true, it's a fat chance, but i'm in! Considering that i had nine Prince Charleses, i marketed order 100 lots. I stared at the screen untill finally, after ages, i began to take notice most average change. 10 minutes later the base currency was ascending through the roof! I unloaded at a profit of 162 pips per coin. I suspected that i was getting about fair to middling. What a shocking story this was, that BRL rates will be affected by the fluctuations in the unemployment rate, and due to that is going to climb. I had just upped 100 lots one way or the other. Half a blink afterward, i GTCed. I sold at a loss of 23 percent! I sure as heck wasn't expecting that to happen! Jees! I had gone up straight from 1011 dollars to 1011 Valeries and was feeling alright, too.;) |
